RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (May 10, 2016) – King of the Cage, the leader in casino mixed martial arts entertainment, returns to Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, Minnesota on Friday, July 8, 2016 with another world-class mixed martial arts event, headlined by a Middleweight (185 pounds) World Title showdown between current KOTC Middleweight Champion Daniel Madrid and Tony Lopez, who is the current KOTC Superheavyweight and Heavyweight Champion.
The Main Event, in the 185 lb. Middleweight Division, will be for the World Title and feature the reigning and defending KOTC champion Daniel “Demigod” Madrid (13-4) from Glendale, Arizona (Grace Fighting Systems Training Center) against Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez (41-21) from Yucaipa, California (Team Krypton). Madrid has won his last six bouts, including an impressive first round win in his last title defense fight. Lopez is one of the top fighters in the sport today.
The Co-Main Event in the 165 lb. Catchweight Division will feature Tat “Mean Bean” Romero from Chisholm, Minnesota (Minnesota Fight Factory) battling Jay Ellis from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Serrano Combat Academy).
This event will be broadcast in over 50 million U.S. households on MAVTV (214 DIRECTV, 810, Verizon FiOS). Check your local cable provider for cable station in your area.
Other featured fighters on the card will include Brandon Jenkins, Jake Wyman, Troy Roggenbuck, Jon Bird and more.
