RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (September 6, 2017) – King of the Cage returns to SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with a nationally broadcast event headlined by a World Title Fight featuring current Light Heavyweight Champion Jason Butcher defending his belt against Jesse Murray. The co-main event is an anticipated match in the Women’s Atomweight Division between Bi Nguyen vs. Lindsey VanZandt and the featured fight will be Chris Humes-Mitchell vs. Ryan Cafaro in a Bantamweight Division showdown.
Main Event – KOTC Light Heavyweight World Title 205 lbs.
Current Champion Jason Butcher (10-2), Huntington, WV. vs. Jesse “Hollywood” Murray (7-1), Toledo, Ohio (PRO Am Fitness and Strong Style). Butcher in his last bout defended his belt with a first-round KO. Murray has won his last three fights including a first-round knockout in only 9 seconds over #1 ranked Chad Herrick.
Co-Main Event – Women’s Atomweight 105 lbs.
Bi “Killher Bee” Nguyen, (3-1) Houston, TX. vs. Lindsey “Damsel” VanZandt (1-0), Wappingers Falls, NY. Nguyen is one of the top ranked fighters in the Atomweight division and one of the rising stars in MMA. VanZandt won her professional debut at SugarHouse Casino in July with a second round KO.
Featured Event – Bantamweight 145 lbs.
Chris “No Brotherly Love” Humes-Mitchell (3-0), Philadelphia, PA. vs. Ryan Cafaro, (4-2), Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Both local fighters are top ranked and have won all their bouts impressively.
