RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (February 17, 2015) – King of the Cage, an internationally broadcast MMA company, is proud to announce on Sunday, March 15, 2015, KOTC will return to Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California for a broadcast event in the 10,000 seat Soboba Arena.
In 2008, after 43 events and 8 years of watching both Soboba Casino and King of the Cage grow as companies together, it was over as quick as it began as both entities parted ways. Today KOTC announces it’s coming home to Soboba where the first major events in California were held.
“It’s like marrying your high school girlfriend 6 years later,” stated Terry Trebilcock, CEO and Founder of King of the Cage. “It just doesn’t get any better! Many historical moments in MMA were born in San Jacinto CA, and many of the biggest stars in modern day MMA spent integral parts of their careers at Soboba. Numerous articles in the past show the history of how MMA survived its toughest years, much because of the investment of Soboba Casino and the hard work of so many involved.”
“We are so excited about bringing King of the Cage back to our casino,” stated Scott Sirois, General Manager of Soboba. “With us celebrating our 20th Anniversary in 2015, it couldn’t be a better time to re-unite with the finest MMA organization and hosting a world-class nationally televised event for our guests.”
March 15th is the first of what could be rumored of as many as 25 events over the next 5 years.
It sounds like MMA will be back at an epic level. With the growth of Soboba Casino and King of the Cage holding two international TV deals both weekly on MAVTV and now on UFC Fight Pass, it won’t be long before Southern California will again be “the place” to watch world class MMA.
Fight details and ticket information to be announced shortly.
