In "King of the Cage" the safety of the fighters is paramount. Events are run under the unified rules of the states of Nevada and New Jersey.0

Glossary of Terms

TIME:

1. Undercard matches consist of 2-3 five-minute rounds.
2. Title and Super Fight matches consist of 3-5 five-minute rounds.

All matches have a one-minute break between rounds

MATCHES WON BY:

1. Knock out
2. Tap out
3. Referee stoppage 4. Corner throwing in the towel
5. Event doctor stoppage
6. Decision- based equally on striking, grappling, and aggression.

ILLEGAL ISSUES:

1. No head butting, eye gouging, hair pulling or fish hooking.
2. No strikes (kicks, elbows, punching) to the back of the head or spinal area.
3. No small joint manipulation (control of four or more fingers/toes is necessary).
4. No intentionally throwing your opponent out of the cage.
5. No chopping down your opponent with elbow strikes
6. No kicking to the head when an opponent is down. A downed opponent is considered to have three points down (for example, two legs and one arm).

If a warning is given, the referee will not stop the fight and no points will be deducted from that fighter, however the referee will make the fighter in question aware of the warnings. If a foul is given the referee will stop the fight, make it clear to the judges which fighter is being penalized and can either deduct points or disqualify the fighter.

If a fighter falls to his guard, he will be stood back up, unless the standing fighter approaches him. If the standing fighter wants the downed fighter back on his feet, then he'll need to back off and allow him to stand up.

FIGHTERS UNIFORMS:

1. Speedos or Vale Tudo shorts only. In some markets, rash guards and wrestling singlets are allowed.
2. Wrestling shoes or bare feet only. Wrestling shoes must be approved.
3. Neoprene joint supports only, no metal joint supports.
4. Finger and toe nails must be trimmed.
5. Absolutely no body grease, gels or lotions can be used.
6. Groin protection and a mouth piece must be used.
7. Fighters must wear padded grappling gloves that have been approved by the referee.

THERE WILL BE NO HOLDING ON TO THE CAGE AT ALL.

ONLY TWO CORNERMEN CAN WORK THE CORNER, UNLESS IT IS A MAIN EVENT FIGHT, IN WHICH THREE CORNERMEN WILL BE ALLOWED. CORNERMEN WILL STAY IN ASSIGNED AREAS OR FIGHTERS WILL BE
DISQUALIFIED.
